The fantastic RevolutionAirTM threading system is a fully automated threading system that uses a jet of air to thread not only the loopers but also the needle eyes easily with just a press of a button. The knee lift and the speed regulation offer unique comfort for complicated stitching projects. When the presser foot is in the raised position, the machine doesn’t start sewing for additional safety. The automatic thread delivery system makes operation even easier and eliminates the conventional tension system adjusted by hand. Switching over from the cover stitch to the overlock stitch is already easy as it is, but the new machine now reduces the number of steps needed to change the needles even further. After taking the needles out of the needle clamp, the fastening screws don‘t have to be tightened by hand anymore.
The Gloria provides up to eight threads and thus offers a wide variety of decorative effects and stitch combinations such as the popular Baby Lock Wave stitch.
The RevolutionAirTM system helps you thread the loopers at the touch of a button. The system's automatic needle threader, which also works by simply pressing a button, is really unique. The proven automatic thread delivery system (ATD) and stitch selector dispel any worries about thread tension adjustment. The presser foot pressure and differential feed (0.6 – 2.0 :1) can be adjusted to your needs at any time. The wide throat space provides maximum flexibility, letting you accomplish even larger projects. The bright LED technology rounds off the overall coverlock package perfectly.
Ease of use
The Gloria's workplace layout has been optimised by placing the presser foot lifter on the right hand side.
Improved thread path
The Gloria's clearly designed thread path makes it easy for you to thread the chain looper.

Automatic foot stop
The coverlock machine will not start sewing as long as the presser foot is in its raised position. This ensures both your safety and perfect seams. The presser foot must be lowered and/or positioned on the fabric before you can continue sewing.
Presser foot pressure dial
The new presser foot pressure dial of the Baby Lock Gloria allows you to handle all kinds of material or fabric individually. Regardless of whether your fabrics are fine, firm or heavy – the presser foot pressure is easily adjusted to the respective requirements. Thanks to the easy-read scale, you can precisely find the basic setting and adjust the controller for lighter and heavier materials.
Wider throat space
This is what makes the baby lock Gloria perfect: more freedom for your creativity. The wider throat lets you handle larger and more voluminous sewing projects without difficulty. It is no longer your machine but you who decides the size of your sewing projects!
Unique loopers
The baby lock Gloria features a unique, compact tubular looper system that guarantees fuss-free, quick threading. Extra-strong loopers in a quality similar to that used in industry make your baby lock Gloria fit for more difficult tasks.
Auxiliary looper / converter
The Gloria's auxiliary looper / converter can be easily activated for a two-thread stitch. Since it is firmly connected to the upper looper, it can't get lost or misplaced.
RevolutionAirTM threading system
The RevolutionAirTM threading system has been installed in a coverlock machine for the first time and makes threading your Gloria child's play. From now on, a gust of air will not only thread the loopers but also the eyes of the needles. What's more, you can thread the machine automatically in any order you like.
New eyelet threading guide
Another dream comes true. From now on, it's child's play to thread in textured yarns or other thicker special-effect yarns. Apart from combining all types of stitches, you can now also choose different kinds of yarns and use them together for sewing on the baby lock Gloria.

Thanks to the automatic thread delivery system of your baby lock Gloria. Simply choose a stitch, set the thread delivery system correspondingly and start sewing.No more tiresome tension adjustment every time you use another fabric, stitch or thread thickness.
There are three sensors - stitch width sensor - stitch length sensor - fabric thickness sensor - that help you produce perfectly balanced stitches on your Gloria – with no ifs and buts! Don't leave the thread tension to chance. You can trust your baby lock Gloria blindly. See for yourself!
Adjustment possibilities
Your baby lock Gloria lets you adjust the stitch width quickly and easily. You can deactivate the cutter quickly and easily with a switch if you want to sew closed or tube-like pieces of clothing. The same switch reactivates the cutter whenever you need it. The cutter does not is not fully retracted and you can use it as a guide.
Setting the wave stitch
Apart from simple overlock and cover stitches, the Baby Lock Gloria also offers the fascinating baby lock wave stitch. Simply set the selector lever to wave, thread the machine and let your Gloria perform magic: it will produce a wave stitch instead of the conventional overlock stitch on your sewing project. You can also combine the wave stitch with cover stitches if you like. You will be amazed by your sewing projects' new, fascinating look.
Differential feed
Stretch fabrics often cause problems such as puckering or distorted seams that leave you in despair. Thanks to its differential feed, the Gloria guarantees an optimum feed of stretch fabrics and thus prevents puckering or protruding seams. You can also use the Gloaria's differential feed to produce fanciful gathering or stretching effects.
Handy built-in accessory compartment
No more searching for the correct Gloria accessory. The handy accessory compartment under the thread spool holder contains all important tools. The accessories it can hold include:
- Tweezers
- Hand needle threader
- Spare needle screws
- Spare cutters
- Screw driver for needle screws
- Soft brush with guide to insert the needles
Stitch Length
One and the same dial lets you modify the stitch length and change over the Gloria to the rolled hem option. Simply read the setting value on the dial's scale.
Stitch Width
Since both the Gloria's cutter and the chaining finger move together, it really is the stitch width that changes and not just the cutting width, as with other conventional machines. This prevents overcutting and undercutting.
