The Baby Lock Ovation is a combined overlock and coverlock machine that comes with the unique ExtraoridinAir threading system and automatic thread delivery system (ATD).  

With the Baby Lock Ovation you can combine overlock, coverlock or chain stitches and use up to eight threads simultaneously to produce wonderful, decorative effects. There is no need to laboriously follow any threading points with the ExtraoridinAir threading system and its eight easy to use thread guides. You can say goodbye to loose threads, tangle and frustration! 

Thanks to the automatic thread delivery (ATD) system and the stitch selector, you no longer have to worry about thread tension adjustment. All of your stitches will now look perfect, no matter which sewing thread quality you use, from an ultrafine thread through to a strong thread. The presser foot pressure can be adjusted separately and adapted to your needs. Only Baby Lock offers the exclusive wave stitch. Say goodbye to frustrating unwanted puckering or wavy seams with knitwear or very fine fabrics. The adjustable differential feed (0.6 – 2.0:1) gives all stitches a perfect look. What's more, the Ovation even copes with large sewing projects without any problems. The wide throat provides plenty of space to move large amounts of material during sewing. The baby lock Ovation's six LED lamps light up your workspace perfectly so that you can still see your sewing project when it gets late if you simply can't stop.

Easy operation

The Baby Lock Ovation is easily operated with the fantastic presser foot lever fitted at the front, another new feature. You can raise the presser foot of your baby lock from the front with ease. You no longer need to fumble around at the rear of your machine and this means you can keep your eyes on your sewing project.

New presser foot pressure dial

The new presser foot pressure dial allows you to handle all kinds of material or fabric individually. Regardless of whether your fabrics are fine, firm or heavy, the presser foot pressure is easily adjusted to the respective requirements. The easy-read scale means you can precisely find the basic setting and adjust the controller for lighter and heavier materials.

Wider throat space

This is what sets the baby lock Ovation apart from other machines and gives you much more freedom for your creativity. The wider throat allows you to handle larger and more voluminous sewing projects with ease. It is no longer your machine that decides the size of your sewing projects, but you!

Unique loopers

The baby lock Ovation features a unique, compact tubular looper system that guarantees fuss-free, quick threading. Extra-strong loopers in a quality similar to that used in industry make your baby lock Ovation fit for more difficult tasks.

Auxiliary looper / converter

The Ovation's auxiliary looper / converter can be easily activated for a two-thread stitch. Since it is firmly connected to the upper looper, it can't get lost or misplaced.

ExtraoridinAir threading system 

The ExtraordinAir system uses a small pump to blow the thread through all loopers instantly. Threading has never been this easy and super quick. 

New eyelet thread guide

Another dream comes true. From now on, it's easy to thread in textured yarns or other thicker special-effect yarns. Apart from combining all types of stitches, you can now also choose different kinds of yarns and use them together for sewing on the baby lock Ovation.

Thread tension

Thanks to the automatic thread delivery system (ATD) of your Baby Lock Ovation, you can choose a stitch, set the thread delivery system correspondingly and start sewing. No more tiresome tension adjustment every time you use another fabric, stitch or thread thickness. There are three sensors, stitch width sensor, stitch length sensor and the fabric thickness sensor that help you produce perfectly balanced stitches on your Ovation – with no ifs and buts! Adjustment possibilities

Your Baby Lock Ovation lets you adjust the stitch width quickly and easily. You can deactivate the cutter quickly and easily with a switch if you want to sew closed or tube-like pieces of clothing. The same switch reactivates the cutter whenever you need it. The cutter is not fully retracted and you can use it as a guide.

Setting the wave stitch

Apart from simple overlock and cover stitches, the Baby Lock Ovation also offers the fascinating wave stitch, unique to Baby Lock. Simply set the selector lever to wave, thread the machine and let your Ovation perform magic. It will produce a wave stitch instead of the conventional overlock stitch on your sewing project. It is great fun to combine the wave stitch with cover stitches, creating unique results. You will be amazed by your sewing projects' new, fascinating look.

Differential feed

Stretch fabrics often cause problems such as puckering or distorted seams that leave you in despair. Thanks to its differential feed, the Ovation guarantees an optimum feed of stretch fabrics and thus prevents puckering or protruding seams. You can also use the Ovation's differential feed to produce fanciful gathering or stretching effects.

Built in accessories compartment

No more tiresome searching for the correct Ovation accessory. The handy accessory compartment under the thread spool holder contains all of your important tools. The accessories it can hold include:

• Tweezer
• Hand needle threader
• Spare needle screws
• Spare cutters
• Screw driver for needle screws
• Soft brush with guide to insert the needles

Stitch length

One and the same dial lets you modify the stitch length and change over the Ovation to the rolled hem option. Simply read the setting value on the dial's scale.

Stitch width

Since both the Ovation's cutter and the chaining finger move together, it really is the stitch width that changes and not just the cutting width, as with other conventional machines. This prevents overcutting and undercutting.
