The bernette b48 is the top model of the Funlock series and is a combination of an overlock and a cover stitching machine. It has a total of 23 stitches: 15 overlock, 3 cover, 4 combo and 1 chain stitch, overlock stitches with a stitch width of up to 7 mm, cover stitches with stitch widths of 2.8 and 5.6 mm and combostiche with a stitch width of up to 10 mm. The threading is facilitated by coloured thread paths, and in the needle area a manual threader supports threading into the needles. The bottom gripper and the chain gripper have a mechanical threading aid. The knife is operated from the bottom and ensures not only a clean cut edge, but also for a safe handling and can be easily adjusted with one hand. The bright LED light provides a well-lit sewing and threading area. The bernette 48 Funlock sews at a speed of up to 1300 stitches per minute.
