This cutting edge 7 series machine has some outstanding features and comes complete with embroidery unit and BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator) as standard. Use the ultra-responsive 7” TFT colour touch screen to access information, get help and even watch animated tutorials. The 790e comes with the Bernina Dual Feed for absolutely even fabric feed. This is a great advantage when it comes to multi layers when doing patchwork or difficult, slippery fabrics when dressmaking. The Dual Feed is very simple to engage and can be used in conjunction with a number of presser feet for total flexibility. Packed with 1764 stitch patterns (including alphabet) this machine also has sideways motion to stitch out the 117 special wide stitches included.

If you are feeling even more creative you can use the Bernina Stitch Designer function to create your own stitches by simply drawing your ideas directly onto the screen! Your unique stitch can then be added to the stitch library! 

Using the embroidery unit enables you to stitch out any of the 332 built in embroidery designs and 18 alphabets on the 790E. The embroidery unit is easy to use, simply slide on and switch to embroidery mode with the touch screen pen on the colour touch screen. The embroidery unit comes with hoops, designed to hold your fabric perfectly flat and tensioned, ready for embroidery. It will move the embroidery hoop around as the machine stitches, giving a beautifully sharp embroidery. The embroidery area on the unit is 400mm x 210mm and can embroider up to 1000spm! Clarity on the touch screen makes it easy to resize, rotate, move and mirror images. Drop and drag editing, the ability to check individual stitch locations, stitch density and even setting a fabric type make for very precise designs. The screen will display an array of information such as stitch out time, thread colour, size and stitch and transferring designs is easy using the USB port.

You may also like to download the FREE Bernina Artlink 7 software to your computer, this enables further manipulation of designs including opening and converting many of the most popular formats.

Just some of the optional accessories to further enhance this machine include the Free-arm embroidery attachment, Bernina embroidery software 7, CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork tools.
