The SMARTER 140s by Pfaff is the first machine in the entry level Pfaff range. The obviously striking thing about this machine is its design. It is vibrant, colourful and surprisingly pleasing to the eye despite its price. The main benefit of this machine however isn't just its design, it’s that it offers a lot of the same features as the bigger machines but at a budget price, making it ideal for those new to sewing. With this machine, you get a lot for your money. It boasts LED lighting, a hardcover and even takes the same presser feet as the Pfaff Passport. This means you can purchase a wide range of presser feet, making the machine more diverse. A lot of entry machines are front loading, but the SMARTER 140s is top loading, a design better suited to beginners. A lot of entry machines also only go up to a 5mm stitch width but this machine goes to 6mm and even has a needle threader as well as feed dog drop for free motion sewing!
