This year on 13th - 14th March 2020, Stitch Again sewing machine specialists and Joy to Create sewing school will be combining forces yet again to host the fantastic free sewing show Stitch & Create.

The event is free to attend, but attendees must register for tickets to attend, due to numbers and capacity.

Back by popular demand there will be a huge amount of quality fabric that normally retails at £8 to £16 on sale at just £7.00 per metre! Fat quarters for the avid quilters will be on sale from as little as £1.50! There will be panel fabrics on sale (bunting, baby books, pocket hangings etc) and a selection of haberdashery tools, buttons and ribbons. A range of BERNINA and BERNETTE sewing machines with the fantastic show-only offers will also be available to see and purchase, with expert advice and BERNINA specialist educators on hand to demonstrate them. There will also be a selection of presser feet and accessories available to purchase. 

 


 

HORN FURNITURE - largest stockist in the south!

Horn will also be joining us as Stitchagain are the largest stockist in the South. Horn develop and create beautiful furniture specifically designed for sewists, with lots of fantastic features and space saving designs. There will be models on display and demonstrations readily available by a specialist.



 

 

Other things to see

A number of students from Joy to Create sewing school will be showcasing some of their work and helping to run some of the tables, all willing and ready to have a chat and answer any questions they can about any of the courses at Joy to Create sewing school.

There will also be BERNINA and BERNETTE customers from Stitchagain who will be available to talk about their experiences with machine purchases, servicing and repairs through Stitchagain.

Joy to create sewing school is run by professional teacher: 

Joy Moore Stitch and Create show hampshire

Joy Moore BEd (Hon), DipEd, MA

Joy aims to nurture self esteem and confidence in a supportive and calm environment. Her passion for textile art stemmed from sewing with her grandmother as a child and has now developed into much, much more. Joy is a textile artist and teacher who possesses the qualities and skills to enable people to flourish. Joy trained as a teacher at Worcester and gained a BEd(Hons) in Food and Textile Technology, completed a post graduate diploma in Educational Management from Southampton University and has over 20 years teaching experience in several secondary schools.

In June 2010 she gained a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at West Dean College and an MA in Fine Art at Portsmouth University in October 2012. Since 2011 Joy has been running a successful education-based sewing school: Joy to Create, in Horndean, Hampshire. Specialising in structured courses such as Learn to Sew, Patchwork & Quilting, Freemotion sewing, Embroidery and Overlocking.

 Steve from Stitchagain

 

Steve Moore

Steve is a fully qualified engineer who specialises in sewing machine servicing and repair. His passion began with mechanical engineering which later came to compliment his wife's passion in textiles when they became official dealers for Pfaff and then Bernina and others. Steve trained with each manufacturer, which added to his existing knowledge and enabled him to give professional and well informed advice as well as a reputable service. Stitchagain offers a range of high quality domestic sewing machines and associated equipment with an unparalleled level of customer support and product expertise. The business has grown through word of mouth and Steve continues to serve the local sewing community including professionals and schools as well as talks at local groups such as the Quilter's Guild and embroiderer's Guild.

 

 

BERNINA Specialist New Product Educator: 

Stephanie Morgan BA(Hon)

 

With a degree in Fashion Design concentrating on textures, processes, embellishments and manipulation. Stephanie was shortlisted for the Textiles award at the Graduate Fashion Week for her final collection as she deconstructed and reconstructed material to create an interested fabric.

Stephanie taught the Textiles Specialism on the Art Foundation Diploma at the University of South Wales, teaching all capabilities from beginning to sew, basic sewing knowledge, with then a range of techniques and processes. Projects ranged from fashion, textiles, costumes, interiors and more.  Making sure that students had a portfolio to portray their wide range of textiles skills for their future career prospects.

 Stephanie is currently a New Product Educator for Bernina, learning about new products, teaching dealers and customers around the country. Late last year Stephanie visited Bernina Switzerland for training on the new 5 series being released this year, helping to demonstrate at the launch.
